A Scandinavian silver beaker
Maker's mark CH in shaped cartouche struck twice only, circa 1720
Tapering cylindrical and on three ball feet, the body chased with flowers and foliate scrolls on a matted ground, with plain circular cartouche, the plain band beneath the lip engraved with the initials M.G.D., later engraved beneath the base with WR monogram with Royal Prussian crown above for Emperor Wilhelm II, marked on base
