A RUSSIAN BIRCH AND FRUITWOOD MARQUETRY CHEST
Late 18th Century
The rectangular quarter-veneered moulded top centred by a quarter-veneered oval burr panel, bordered with chequer-banding, above three graduated drawers, the divisions inlaid with engraved guilloche between simulated fluted uprights headed by triglyphs, above a Greek key pattern apron, on turned tapering feet, the handles replaced, with paper label to the reverse inscribed in ink '21' and further inscribed in ink '21'
29¾ in. (75.5 cm.) high; 36½ in. (92.5 cm.) wide; 21.3 4in. (55 cm.) deep
