An lacquered ivory kodansu and an ostrich egg

The small ivory kodansu with two doors opening to smaller drawers, on four short cabriole legs on a lacquer stand, the ivory lacquered and carved with various birds among plants, damages, 18 cm. high; and a lacquered ostrich egg decorated with a pair of birds perched in a blossom tree, the reverse with two ostriches standing below bamboo, all on a darkened ground, slight loss, 21.2 cm. high, including black lacquer stand with double gourd in gilt (2)
