Painted in vivid iron-red, gilt, green and black enamels on underglaze blue with a central roundel enclosing a Dutch three-master at sea, surrounded by a large border with two smaller panels enclosing a similar ship and two faux coats-of-arms, divided by pairs of standing Dutchmen, on a trellis diaper-pattern ground, the base with a one-character mark
