A stained ivory carving of a grotto
19th century
pierced and carved with Guanyin standing in a recess of the grotto with numerous monkeys clambering on the rockwork amongst bamboo, pine and fruiting vines and playing in a shallow pool to the front, part of the foliage stained green -- 6in. (15.2cms) high, signed, (old wear, small losses).
