The central panel decorated in enamels and gilding with a group of samurai by a river, the rim decorated with geometric and floral designs, the reverse with stylised chrysanthemum, waves and ho-o motifs, signed on the base Kyoto Tojiki Goshigaisha [The Kyoto Ceramic Joint Stock Company] and Ryozan
