with dark blonde mohair, brown and black glass eyes, pronounced clippd muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed limbs, hump and growler --19¼in. (49cm.) high, 1920s (bald patch to forehead and between legs, thinning to left arm and legs and pads recovered), three photograph postcards, a photograph of an elderly lady with two children and a postcard of Lille Prinz Carl (6)

Lot Essay

This Bing bear reputedly once belonging to a member of the Swedish Royal family. The accompanying photograph with the elderly lady has Ebba written on the back. The postcard photographs featuring three children are taken in a studio in Chicago, and one has been mailed from Chicago to Hr. Harry Hagstion?, Trelleborg, Sweden in September 1911. It has been so far, impossible to identify any of the children.
