A famille rose spitoon
18th century
with broad everted foliate rim and simulated branch handle, moulded, painted and gilt to the exterior with birds amongst blossoming and flowering branches on a puce ground, the rim painted with Immortals amongst foaming waves -- 5¼in. (13.3cms) diam, (restoration to rim, slight enamel flaking).
