A formal court robe (chi'fu) of pale brown silk brocade, woven with eight gilt dragons against a ground sparsely scattered with polychrome cloud scrolls and bats above a turbulent sea-wave border, woven predominantly in shades of green, yellow and white, with matching horse shoe cuffs, 18th century (the lower sleeves of midnight blue silk possibly replaced and later bindings of purple kinran)
