An informal robe of midnight blue satin, embroidered in brightly coloured silks with cranes, peacocks, mandarin ducks and further birds within floral roundels, the ground scattered with butterflies and auspicious fruit and flowers, trimmed with sleevebands and borders of ivory satin, late 19th/early 20th century
