Oval black composition box, the hinged cover centred by a glazed oval brown ink on card miniature depicting a lady in profile to the left, with high-piled and curled hair, white muslin fichu, within a gold mount stamped with a laurel and berry border, the gold mounts at the sides similarly stamped
