the box by Moulinié, Bautte & Moynier, marked, Geneva, circa 1820/30, the flange engraved 'GENEVE - BAUTTE ET MOYNIER.', with the French Provincial restricted warranty mark for gold 1809-1819, the plaque attributed to Kirstein of Strasburg, ca 1820/30
Rectangular box with bulging sides, the cover inset with a gold plaque finely cast, chased and engraved with a hunting scene, a gentleman with his two hounds riding in a wooded landscape pursuing a boar, the gold frame, sides and base of matted gold and cast with scrolling foliage and flowers, similar slightly raised thumbpiece
