Attenuated oblong, the body with wave-pattern engine-turned decoration, and foliate scroll thumbpiece, the grille elaborately bright-cut and pierced with flowers, foliage, scrolls and borders, with suspension ring, marked inside base with maker's mark, town mark and date letter, inside cover with maker's mark, duty mark and carat mark, and on underside of grille with carat mark
