Possibly Swiss, maker's mark A.M in lozenge between fleurs de lys, circa 1810
Oval, the cover and base each with radiant engine-turned centre with a chased scrolling foliage border, the upper side chased with stylised foliage and the lower side reeded, with geometric interstices, the grille elaborately bright-cut with a central lozenge enclosing a diaperwork basket of flowers surrounded by foliate scrolls and two demi-lune sides, marked inside base and cover and on side and grille bezels
