Provenance: presented to Benenden School, where Enid Blyton's daughters were educated.

The story plays with the novelty of television: Big-Ears's bicycle is stolen, and P.C. Plod is much more interested in watching his newly-acquired television set than in looking for it - until the programme Plod is watching shows 'that dreadful little Binkie Bear' winning a race on the bicycle in question.
