An early 19th-Century cased set of military post-mortem instruments,
signed on the case and instruments by Faure Paris, the upper tray containing knives, forceps, an enterotome, scissors, scalpels, chisel, sutures and hooks, the lower tray containing bone knives, saw, hammer, chisel and secateurs, contained in an oak case with a copper plaque engraved Societé Française de Secours aux Blessés des Armés de Terre et de Mer and a brass plaque engraved Boîte à Autopsie, and carrying handles -- 13½in. (34.3cm.) long; and an embalming set by MON CHARRIÈRE COLLIN & CIE À PARIS, with pump, syringe heads and tubes, contained in leatherette-covered, purple plush-lined case -- 10in. (25.4cm.) long
