A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter miniature terrestrial globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the meridian of Greenwich ungraduated, a meridian at 30°W graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans showing the tracks of Cook, Clerke, Gore and Biscoe with various notes and dates, and the antipodes of London, Antarctica showing only Enderby Land, the continents in yellow with North America outlined in green, South America and Europe outlined in red and Africa outlined in orange, showing some mountians in pictorial relief, rivers and cities (various minor scratches and abrasions and areas of discolouration) with two iron axis pins, in the bottom half of a turned mahogany case
