Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, incised E16., Pressnummer 110, painted numeral 39. in iron-red
Adapted from a model by J.J. Kaendler, the Muse of History wearing a flowered dress and lilac robes, modelled seated inscribing an open book rested on her knee by an attendant putto, a trumpet in her left hand, seated before a tree on a rocky mound, with armour to one side, on a circular base applied with a band of overlapping leaves (replacement restoration and minor chipping)
