A Meissen figure of Cupid
Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, incised G.29., Pressnummer 77
Loosely-draped, holding a jug above flaming hearts on a bed of roses on a reeded pedestal applied with an oval panel suspended from a bow, inscribed Je mets le calme, on an oval base moulded with a key pattern band and flower-heads (some chipping and old restoration to the edge of the base, minor chips to leaves and light rubbing to gilding)
