AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS AMPHORISKOS
Circa Late 6th-5th Century B.C.
Dark blue in color, the ovoid body with rounded shoulders, a cylindrical neck and inward-sloping rim-disk, with applied opaque yellow and turquoise marvered threads wound spirally on the body, tooled into a zig-zag pattern in the middle of the body, with turquoise on the rim, yellow on the edge of the base-knob, and twin turquoise vertical handles
