A BYZANTINE GLASS BOTTLE
Circa 6th Century A.D.
Pale blue-green in color, free-blown, the spherical body with a long cylindrical neck, on a concave base, with blue trailing, a thick trail applied to the rim, a thin trail then wound spirally along the neck, the body with thin threads bordered above and below by thicker threads pinched vertically to form a spectacle pattern
7¾ in. (19.7 cm) high
