Composed of biconical amethyst beads, interspersed with modern gold beads with filigree along the perforations, strung together with a Roman amethyst ring stone engraved with a multi-oared galley with a billowing sail, mounted as a pendant in a modern Roman-style mount, the necklace closed with a Roman amethyst ring stone engraved with a dolphin and a fish, mounted as a clasp in a modern Roman-style mount
