FIRST EDITION. THE CATALOGUE OF WARHOL'S LAST EXHIBITION, SIGNED BY THE ARTIST ON THE FRONT FREE ENDPAPER, and a further six times (below the thumbnail of the first folding plate and below five of the illustrations) for Roberto Baravalle, the exhibition co-ordinator. 'Il Cenacolo' was an exhibition at the Galleria Refettorio delle Stelline, Milan of a series of 20 works by Warhol based on Leonardo's 'Cena'. This catalogue was signed for Baravalle by Warhol at a press conference for the exhibition on 22 January 1987 (cf. P. Hackett (ed.) The Andy Warhol Diaries (London: 1987), p.795, entry for that day). Together with a monochrome photographic print by Maria Mulas showing Warhol seated at a table signing the present catalogue on the first folding plate, with Daniela Morera, Chris Makos and Roberto Baravalle behind him (239 x 166mm).
