A Kutani charger
19th century
painted and gilt with two warriors kneeling before a dignitary, on an iron red ground reserved in gilt with ho-o amongst scrolling foliage -- 14½in. (36.8cms) diam; and a further Kutani charger decorated in coloured enamels and gilt with a cockerel, hen and chicks in a flowering garden, within cloud shaped panels reserved with geometric designs -- 13 5/8in. (34.5cms) diam.
