A French brass striking and repeating carriage clock, circa 1890
The pillars case with outset columns and filigree cornice mounts, canted angles to the base, the silvered mask engraved with trailing leaves and the silvered Arabic chapter ring with recessed gilt centre, blued steel spade hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with cut bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to back plate numbered 16620 -- 7in. (7.5cm.) high to hilt of handle
