The case modelled with the figure of a cherub standing on a pile of books and embracing a cockerel, with running scroll and laurel cast galleries, the stepped breakfront white marble base with beaded gallery and raised on toupie feet, with grape and vine spandrels to the white enamel Arabic dial with pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell -- 15¼in. (39cm.) high; and the pair of twin-light candelabra en suite, modelled with figures of young satyrs and on stepped circular bases -- 14½in. (37cm.) high (3)
