A Victorian mahogany and brass inlaid striking bracket clock, circa 1840
The arched case with fluted mouldings, with foliate cut brass inlays to the front and silk-backed brass tracery sound frets to the sides below ring handles, on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman dial signed G. Reese/London, pierced brass hands, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with shouldered plates, anchor escapement and strike on bell, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate -- 17¼in. (44cm.) high
