Lot Essay

A coffee-pot of the same form and with almost identical decoration is in the Victoria and Albert Museum and illustrated by W.B. Honey, German Porcelain (London, 1947), pl. 39. It is interesting to note that it also has a cover of the same dimensions, form and decoration as the present lot.
