A Berlin gold-mounted rectangular card case
Circa 1785, blue sceptre mark to interior rim
Painted en grisaille with a Roman warrior and companion with allegorical figures in attendance befroe figures bringing tribute, the reverse with Diana among clouds above a lamb and a reclining figures between a bearded figure and a weeping warrior, within within beaded gilt oval panels below pink roses and green ribbon, within a border of gilt dots, the sides with overlapping leaves and tied pink roses, the shaped rim applied with a gold mount engraved with leaves and flowers (damages and repairs and some rubbing)
