A Meissen shaped oval tureen and cover
19th century, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummer and incised N4, probably decorated outside the factory
The finial modelled in the form of a scantilly-clad putto holding an upturned cornucopia spilling fruit, the tureen with scrolling foliage handles, painted with vignettes of figures wearing eighteenth century dress at various pursuits in landscapes within cartouches moulded and gilt with scrolls, alternating similar cartouches painted with flower-sprays
