3 parts in one volume. 2o (309 x 198 mm). 242 woodcut illustrations mostly by Hans Weiditz. (Occasional staining, mostly marginal, volume I with I5 torn and repaired.) Contemporary German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards upper cover stamped in gilt "HERBARIUS" and dated "1545", spine in five compartments, with gilt lettered blue paper label, two brass clasps (straps missing, some wear to edges). Provenance: Albert Cameron Burrage (gift bookpate); Massachusetts Horticultural Society (bookplate).
