FIRST EDITION OF THE EARLIEST STUDY ON POLLINATION. Sprengel discusses the relationship between pollination and the insect fertilization of flowers. Although Sprengel's work was generally neglected (he eventually gave up his botanical pursuits), it influenced several of Darwin's works.
