RONALD COLMAN ITEMS RELATING TO HIS BOAT 'DRAGOON'
A collection of items related to the actor's beloved boat named 'Dragoon' including a miniature model of it housed in a glass case with a plaque reading Ketch/Dragoon/Scale 1/16 = 1 Ft., two sterling silver ship lamps with one engraved Port and the other Starboard, an oil on canvas painting depicting a seascape created by Colman (though unsigned) and three unpublished black and white photographs; the first depicting the Dragoon, the second Colman, Richard Barthelmess and William Powell in a small tugboat and the third Colman, Robert Montgomery, Nigel Bruce and a 227 1/2 pound Marlin swordfish. Of interesting note: when Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier were married in August 1940, they honeymooned on this boat.
