Oblong, the rim applied with shell, scroll and foliate border, with two rocaille-clad bracket handles, the field engraved with presentation inscription, marked on reverse

The engraved inscription reads: "Presented/to/THE REVD. JOHN INGLIS, D.D./By his Colleagues/THE/Ministers of Edinburgh/to testify their grateful sense/OF/Eminent services rendered them/By his zealous, able, and persevering exertions/In the management of a trust which deeply involved their patrimonial interests/and those of their successors in office-in all future times./22.d Feb.y 1815."
