SIGNED AS PRESIDENT. A fine head and shoulders portrait of Hayes in suit and tie, gazing resolutely at an angle to the camera. The printed copyright date of 1877 has been altered to 1879 in ink which appears to match that of Hayes's inscription. Rare, especially with a dated inscription as President.
