Mark of William G. Forbes, New York, circa 1790
Comprising a teapot, cream jug, sugar urn and cover, each with bright-cut floral swags centering a cartouche with drapery mantling, the cartouche engraved ES, with beaded borders, the teapot with straight spout and wooden handle, the helmet-form jug and sugar urn with square pedestal bases, each engraved with block initials E*S, marked under base of teapot and foot of cream jug, the sugar urn apparently unmarked
