numbered 264/500, comprising: teapot, cream jug, covered sugar bowl, and two-handle tray, the circular bodies on triangular bases, with hemispherical handles.

Lot Essay

Originally designed in the 1930s by Christofle for the French Line's famous ocean liner Normandie, this service helped to establish Christofle as a name synonymous with French style and taste in the 20th Century. This service was commissioned in the 1980s by Christofle in a limited edition of 500 services.
