A GEORGE II GILT AND BLACK-JAPANNED LONGCASE CLOCK,
The case mid-18th century, the associated dial signed John Hughes/North Hampton and possibly associated to the mid-18th century movement signed Charles Dunlop,
the foliate engraved dial with subsidiary second dial above date-of-the-month aperture within a brushed steel Arabic and Roman chapter ring beneath an arch with Strike/Silent dial, with associated steel hands, the four pillar twin barrel going with anchor escapement striking the hour on a bell, the case and base each decorated with Chinoiserie scenes of courtly figures in a garden, decoration of the sides, base and hood largely refreshed, the base and brass finials later
