Taisho Period
of rectangular form with bamboo shaped handle, the sides with basket weave style pattern, comprising a fitted ashtray and glass liner, cigarette compartment with hinged cover incised and gilt with panels of geese, flowers and foliage, and a compartment for matches, impressed mark to base -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) diam.
