Ovoid, dividing into two sections to form an egg-cup, chased and engraved with the Russian inscription 'Christ is Risen' and bands of strapwork decoration, containing a spoon in two parts, marked on interior cover, flange and spoon bowl; and a egg bonbonniere in two detachable parts, each engraved with a flower-spray and scalloped border, marked on cover and base
