A creamware model of a parrot of Wheildon type
Circa 1770, probably Staffordshire
After a Chinese original, modelled perched on a conical stump, wearing an amused expression and looking slightly to one side, with finely incised wing and tail feathers and streaked in a brown tortoishell-type glaze (minor hairline cracks around base)
8 7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) high
