A Meissen group of a shepherd and shepherdess
Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, incised C.41., Pressnummer 85, gilt 3
After an original by J.J. Kaendler, both seated, he wears a blue coat, pink flowered waistcoat and striped breeches, she wears a brown bodice, pink apron and flowered and striped skirt, he offers a posy and feeds a sheep at his side, she has a basket of grapes on her lap, on a rocky mound base (chipped to his foot, some other minor chipping to leaves)
