...More recently, a fragrant, assertive and impressive jeroboam at a big Rodenstock tasting with dinner in 1996. Fragrance noted again at Manfred Wagner's vertical in 1998, adding 'firm core. Hard, hot finish', and a not too dissimilar note at Len Evans' 70th birthday celebrations thought I found it attractive, dry, with some delicacy, despite it being completely upstaged by the '69. Last noted at Len Evans' 'Single-bottle Club' dinner in the Hunter Valley , Sept 2000 *** or, at a squeeze, **** depending on the occasion. MB, Vintage Wine
