With brass bowl and gimbal later mounted on a brass socle as a desk timepiece, the silvered Roman dial with up-down at XII and subsidiary seconds at VI, signed in the centre Langford, 6 St. Augustines Parade, & 53 Quay, Bristol. 1782, gold hands, the chain fusee movement with helical blued steel spring to cut bimetallic balance with cylindrical compensation weights, spring detent escapement, with spot-finished plates, top plate numbered 1445, the inside of the bowl numbered 1445
