An Inlaid Punch'ong Cup on Stand
Choson period (15th-16th century)
Moulded as a set with deep, cylindrical cup attached to a wide saucer on a high circular foot, the cup inlaid in white slip below the serrated rim with a band of arching leaves above upright lappet panels of chrysanthemum florets, the base of the cup inlaid in white slip with fretwork and the saucer with a wide band of 'rope curtain' within parallel lines, the underside of the saucer inlaid with a wider band of 'rope curtain' and the foot with a wider band of frets, the vessel also decorated by a glossy clear glaze save for the foot rim
