Lot Essay

Kuninaga creates a fanciful view of the mausoleum of Halicarnassus, another of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World like the pyramids, lot 109. The tomb was built by order of Artemisia, widow of the King of Anatolia, Mausolus.
