Lot Essay

Inspired by the St. Petersburg's Stock Exchange built by the French architect Thomas de Thomon, and inaugurated in 1816. The main difference between this drawing and the Thomon's project is the substitution of an arcaded portico instead of the Thomon's colonnade.
