Further details
The 14th King's Hussars were raised in 1715 in response to the Jacobite threat. The Prussian Eagle was added to the Regimental arms after the 14th were called upon to provide escort to the Duke of York's future bride the Princess Royal of Prussia in 1791.
The 7th Princess Royal's Dragoon Guards were raised in 1688 and served in India along with the 14th King's Hussars.
