Lot Essay

Russell B. Aitken shot pheasant with Lynn Bogue Hunt at Hi Blauvelt's Great Shoot in the Jersey Meadows and shot Jacksnipe with Ray Holland and his sons down on the Honga River. A letter to Roger Tory Peterson in 1974 said this oil hung in Russell B. Aitken's officers quarters at Yuma Army Airfield where he was director of Gunnery during World War II.
