A LOUIS XV ORMOLU MOUNTED KINGWOOD AND TULIPWOOD BUREAU PLAT
Basically 18th century, altered
The serpentine shaped top with inset red gilt-tooled leather and moulded brass edge, above a shaped frieze with three drawers, on square sectioned cabriole legs headed by foliate cast chutes and ending in conforming sabots, restorations to the veneers,with false stamp 'P. ROUSSEL' and 'JME', with remains of auction label to underside and label inscribed 'lot 711', remounted
